My After-Wedding Story
Hi! My name is Arlene and I created this website. When Nick and I were planning for our own outdoor wedding, we cannot find a single site that primarily caters to planning it. That is why this website came into being. My goal is to help brides by giving them insights, ideas and relevant information that they need to plan their outdoor wedding event.
It will be 5 years now since my husband and I had our own outdoor wedding. It was on a Memorial Weekend. I can remember it was sprinkling in the morning. Our wedding was set at 5 pm and with God's grace, the rain stopped before noon and the sun came out, dried up the ground and all. We then proceeded to have a very memorable and great outdoor wedding. It's in your mind 24/7. Then your wedding day comes and the culmination of all your planning arrives - and the next thing you know, it is all over. What an absolute relief! Life After The Wedding
What comes after the wedding and the honeymoon? The reality of marriage life. You always read about what a let-down it is after the wedding. I hope that will not be the reality for you. My husband and I went through the usual adjustments. It was specially tough because he was laid off right before our wedding day. But we got through that phase. We were able to buy a house. We had a baby soon after which is a joy and a blessing. We had our ups and downs like all married couple do but through it all, we have our anchor in our Lord because He is the center of our marriage. Now, we have 2 girls. Maya who is 4 years old and Isabella who will be turning 4 months in the next couple of days. God has truly blessed us. My Work Life I am a Registered Nurse by profession and I work part-time in one of the local hospital's Emergency Room. My husband works in a bank. He works 9 to 5. I work 3 to 11. It is a juggling act with the schedule but we manage with the help of his elderly parents. My Dream
I love my family. If given the chance, I would gladly quit working and just stay at home with my kids. But with today's economy that is just not possible. We need two sources of income in our family to stay afloat. My dream? Be able to work at home, be with my kids and still generate an income. And thanks to SBI!, I have taken the first step.
