Here are Christmas wedding ideas to help plan for your winter wedding that would surely evoke warm memories for you and your future husband to look back to.

First of all, if you are looking to have a winter wedding outdoors, be prepared to overcome a lot of hurdles in planning it. It can be done but the going could be tough. If you are really set on having one, keep in mind your guests and their comfort. Make sure there is no unnecessary waiting time before the ceremony begins. Make sure that the ceremony should be as speedy as possible. Provide a heated covered tent that can accommodate all your guests. Most importantly, consider an indoor wedding reception.

With those concerns duly noted, let me then proceed to provide you with general Christmas wedding ideas that you can apply whether you are having your wedding indoors or outdoors.

Centerpieces. Use various shapes of big, clear vases and fill them up with Christmas ball ornaments in your wedding colors. Place each vase on top of a square mirror and surround it with lighted Christmas scented votive candles. This makes for a really festive and unique centerpiece.

How about nice snowglobe for a centerpiece?

A pillar candle amidst pine cones, holly and berry can make for an elegant centerpiece too. You can get lots of ideas for centerpieces in craft stores such as Michael's or A.C. Moore. They have a dedicated aisle just for brides and her wedding needs.

You can chose to have a Christmas ornament have it personalized with your wedding date including a photo of you and your husband-to-be on it.

Bake Christmas cookies and have it packaged prettily for your guests. Tie it with a curly ribbon and personalize it.

Make a list of your favorite Christmas songs, burn them in a CD and personalize the CD with your names and your wedding date. Give them away as a unique favor for your guests.

Ceremony. Instead of using rose petals or blowing bubbles, how about fake snows for tossing? Or, how about distributing silver bells to your wedding guests. Have them ring it while you and your husband are leaving right after the wedding ceremony. During your reception they can use to ring those same bells instead of tapping the glass with forks (groom, kiss the bride please!).

Decorations. The best thing with having your wedding during Christmas season is that the decorations are already up. Take advantage of your venue's decorations. This helps you save some money in this area. Decorations to use in your ceremony location and reception venue are red berries and holly, Christmas wreaths on halls and potted poinsettias located in strategic places. Have a Christmas tree set up in a corner.Decorate the tree in your color scheme, and the wedding presents can then be placed under it.

However you incorporate these Christmas wedding ideas into your own wedding planning, make sure that you enjoy it. Do not stress too much about making everything perfect. Have fun and your guests will too.
