Outdoor Wedding Reception Decoration Ideas

There are a so many inspiring wedding reception decoration ideas with outdoor wedding themes in magazines, televisions and most of all, the internet. Here are the ones that caught my attention the most.

Table Centerpieces

Above left: Bridal bouquet placed in a clear vase once the ceremony is done. A great way to display it for guests to admire. Doubles as a centerpiece too!

I found this one from Bridal Guide and the best part is, you can make this yourself! Here's how to do it. 

  1. Gather balloons that go with your color scheme and inflate with helium.
  2. Use a mesh net (found at a craft supply store) to connect the balloon to a small basket.
  3. Weigh down the balloon by putting marbles or vase fillers.
  4. Cover the weights with faux flowers to hide them from sight.

Wedding Signs

Most of the times, this important aspect of wedding planning gets overlooked by so many brides. Here are cute and whimsical wedding sign ideas that brides can use for their own big event.

Mason Jars

A mason jar is a molded glass jar used primarily in canning to preserve food. But this versatile jar can be used in so many ways and has now become very popular in weddings and big events. Many kinds of wedding decorations have been created from this lowly mason jars.

Hanging mason jar decorations are simple to make. Some ideas include placing colorful paper shreds on the inside and placing bright flowers on top as seen above, right. You can use other ideas like filling jars with water and have a flower or a candle float on top as seen on the bottom left photo.

Beautiful, inexpensive and simple to make. Great for centerpiece decoration idea for your summer or spring outdoor wedding!

  • Use a mason jar or any vase from a craft of dollar store.
  • Wrap a piece of burlap around the middle.
  • Add some pretty ribbons you can get from any dollar store.
  • Get a couple of limes, cut it crosswise.
  • Fill the jar with water, place the prettyu daffodils and arrange pieces of lime at the bottom!
